Nicole Scherzinger does not like hearing songs by The Pussycat Dolls. The 32-year-old fronted the feisty girl band when they came onto the scene in 2003 but has recently been concentrating on her own solo material.

While partying in club SL in New York recently, the vocalist demanded that her first solo single Whatever You Like be played instead of a Pussycat Doll track on the dance floor.

The DJ offered to play a song from her old girl group, but “Nicole’s friends immediately shut that down,” a source told the New York Post.

The American beauty showed her love for her own solo material by pulling Jemaine Clement from the television programme Flight of the Conchords onto the dance floor with her.

Nicole won the American reality television contest Dancing With The Stars in early 2010 and enjoyed showing off her skills in front of Jemaine.

“Whatever You Like was blasted out, and she pulled Clement to the dance floor, showing off the moves that made her a winner of Dancing With the Stars,” the newspaper reported.
