| Arriving at JFK Airport in New York |
She appeared to be a tad lugubrious as her F1 superstar boyfriend drove her away from an expensive lunch in Beverly Hills yesterday. But when she arrived at New York’s JFK airport today, Nicole Scherzinger had perked up considerably. The 33-year-old X Factor judge looked lovely in jeans, pointed nude pumps and a white camisole with matching cardigan. The ensemble was set off nicely by an unusual – but beautiful – lace trilby that matched embellishments on the singer’s sunglasses. But the most fetching accessory of all was the mega-watt smile Scherzinger flashed as she strolled through the terminal. It was a sight that was sorely missing when she E Baldi restaurant with motor legend Hamilton, 26, yesterday. Perhaps the self-confessed workaholic was longing to get back to her day-job. Her solo career is also going from strength-to-strength, with several Top 10 hits both sides of the Atlantic and her latest track Wet creeping up the iTunes chart in Britain. And then there’s that gig as a judge on X Factor USA, a role that’s sure to send Scherzinger’s profile even further through the roof. She told Marie Claire recently: ‘I’m the luckiest person to get a front-row ticket to the Simon and Paula show,’ she says of her fellow judges who also include L.A. Reid. ‘This whole thing has felt like a roller-coaster ride.’ And the singer says she hasn’t got anywhere in life without working hard. ‘I definitely have the eye of the tiger. I’ve fought my way to where I am and will continue to do so,’ she says. ‘I’m a hard worker – I get it from my family. We only know work. Nothing was handed to us. When I believe in something, I go after it. It’s very hard to tell me “no.“‘ Earlier this year, the singer was excited to debut her album Killer Love. ‘I’ve been working toward this my whole life,’ she tells the magazine. ‘This album is my dream. Everything is timing. ‘My music is the driving engine, and The X Factor is where I can give back to the contestants – pay it forward, since I got my start on reality shows.
